About the Role

The Company is in search of a Provost to serve as its chief academic officer and lead a comprehensive academic enterprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for undergraduate, graduate, professional, and doctoral education, as well as research and scholarly activities across various disciplines. This role is pivotal in sustaining and enhancing the academic quality, research momentum, and student outcomes of the institution. The Provost will be expected to navigate a dynamic higher education landscape, characterized by fiscal pressures, evolving student needs, technological transformation, and increased public scrutiny. A key aspect of the position is the commitment to shared governance, clear communication, and the support of a wide range of academic disciplines, including the arts, humanities, natural and social sciences, and professional fields. The ideal Provost for the company will be an individual with intellectual gravitas, operational finesse, and a deeply relational leadership style. They should be visible, forthright, and engaged across the campus community, and must be excited about the opportunity to lead at the institution. The role requires a leader who is committed to partnering with the community to advance a bold, inclusive, and sustainable academic future. The Provost will work closely with the President and the executive vice president for finance and administration to translate the institution's vision into strategy and execution.
