Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio (OH)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for critically ill pediatric patients in a high-acuity hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have recent pediatric critical care experience and be comfortable caring for patients with complex medical and neurological conditions.

Schedule

Night Shift
7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Holiday coverage required, including at least every other holiday

Experience Requirements

Minimum 18 months of recent Pediatric nursing experience required
Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
Previous travel experience may be used toward recent pediatric experience requirements

Required Licensure & Certifications

Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License
BLS Certification (AHA)
ACLS Certification
PALS Certification

Preferred Certification

NIHSS

Patient Population

Pediatric patients
Specialized care for patients from infancy through young adulthood (up to age 25)

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
Monitor and manage complex medical and neurological conditions
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to clinical changes
Administer and monitor inotropic medications
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care goals
