Technical Lead / Solution Architect - AI-Assisted Software Delivery

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead / Solution Architect to support Federal Government modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will provide strong software architecture and technical leadership while helping engineering teams adopt AI-assisted software development practices to improve productivity, quality, security, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical architecture, solution design, and software engineering initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership across complex modernization projects.
- Define scalable, secure, maintainable software architectures.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted software development and engineering productivity practices.
- Evaluate development approaches, tools, and technologies to improve engineering efficiency.
- Establish and promote software quality, security, coding, and maintainability standards.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, product teams, and government stakeholders.
- Review technical designs, implementations, and engineering practices.
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve the software delivery lifecycle.
- Support modernization of legacy applications and enterprise systems.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong software architecture and technical leadership experience.
- Hands-on software development background.
- Experience with AI-assisted software development or AI-enabled engineering productivity.
- Strong understanding of software quality, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Experience working with modern software development and delivery practices.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to support U.S. Federal Government projects.
- Ability to work onsite in Reston, VA / Washington, D.C. 2 3 days per week.
- Federal Government or government modernization project experience.
- Experience leading enterprise modernization initiatives.
- Experience implementing AI/GenAI capabilities within software engineering environments.
