Deputy General Counsel, Litigation page is loaded## Deputy General Counsel, Litigationlocations: Fremont CA, UStime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition idResponsibilities:* Develop and implement a comprehensive legal strategy for complex litigation and investigations across all global operations of Gilead Sciences* Oversee and manage a team of legal professionals to ensure timely and effective handling of all legal matters* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including compliance, regulatory, and external counsel to ensure alignment and consistency in legal approach* Provide legal guidance and support to senior leadership on potential risks and litigation impacts on business operations* Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to inform legal strategies and ensure compliance* Develop and maintain relationships with external legal partners and monitor their performance to ensure high-quality and cost-effective services* Manage and allocate budget and resources for legal matters to ensure efficient use of company resources* Communicate and liaise with internal stakeholders to provide updates, recommendations, and guidance on legal matters* Lead and participate in internal investigations, including conducting interviews, gathering evidence, and presenting findings to senior management* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company standards* Represent the company in legal proceedings, including court appearances and negotiations with opposing counsel* Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders* Serve as a subject matter expert on complex litigation and investigations for the company, providing guidance and training to colleagues as needed* Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to legal matters to ensure efficiency and effectivenessQualifications* J.D. and minimum 15+ years relevant experience managing litigation* Experience with litigation, regulatory directly or cross-functionally* Experience managing and leading a team* Strong communication skills, a passion for learning, effective at relationship building, ability to manage a large portfolio of diverse projects and issuesBenefits* Base Salary Range- $200,000-$300,000* Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation.
