Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long-Term Care in Waterloo, New York. Start date: 07/21/2026. This 14-week travel temporary assignment is with a skilled nursing facility setting. Weekly pay ranges from $461 to $488 per week, with no guaranteed hours. Shifts are part-time day and evening on a rotating schedule, generally 2x8s or 3x8s, with weekends and holidays required. This role requires NY LPN licensure and BLS certification.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Collect data on residents’ physical and psychosocial status and communicate findings to the RN and Interdisciplinary Team.
- Contribute to development of an age-appropriate, culturally relevant care plan, engaging residents and families in the process.
- Recommend revisions to the plan of care based on resident outcomes and coordinate referrals as needed to address all aspects of care.
- Maintain current nursing practice knowledge, participate in orientation/mentoring of staff, and demonstrate leadership within the professional practice setting.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and standard precautions; manage exposure to blood/bodily fluids per policy; document care accurately.

Requirements
- Active New York LPN licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or RQI)
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in a long-term care setting
- Ability to work in a geriatric/adult patient care environment
- Effective communication and collaboration with the care team and residents/families
