Traveling Physical Therapist Opportunity

Join as a traveling Physical Therapist in Canton, TX at an outpatient facility where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing care for assigned patients, and for adhering to applicable standards of practice for technical therapy care, supplies, equipment, and interventions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. Doctorate preferred.
• Active Physical Therapist license in Texas required. Compact license accepted if valid for practice in TX.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only).
• Experience treating primarily orthopedic patients and some neurologic patients preferred.
• Experience working in outpatient therapy settings preferred.
• Ability to independently assess and develop measurable, realistic treatment goals and to reassess patient progress per department policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel therapy experience preferred.
• Experience providing one-on-one patient care with typical 45-minute treatment intervals preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Workdays: Monday - Friday.
• Patient mix: primarily orthopedic with some neuro.
• Typical patient ratio: one patient every 45 minutes (1:1).

Provide direct physical therapy interventions consistent with professional standards and department policy. Gather pertinent data from charts and caregivers, consult physicians as necessary, and identify appropriate equipment and home exercise programs. Reassess patient progress regularly and adjust plans of care to achieve measurable outcomes. Document interventions and patient status according to facility and regulatory requirements.
