Pulmonary Critical Care Nurse Practitioner

Positions & Locations We are hiring experienced Pulmonary Critical Care Nurse Practitioners / Physician Assistants in Virginia. Two positions available: one in Harrisonburg, VA and another in the Coastal Virginia Beach area, VA. Schedule Primarily night shift 6p–7a, with rotating nights/days. Day shift 8a–6p. 1:3 weekend duty, 1:6 holidays. Scope of Practice 100% inpatient. The APP will manage critically ill patients in the ICU setting with full privileges to perform bedside procedures independently: central lines, Udall, arterial lines, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube placements. Qualifications Advanced Practice Provider with acute care training and experience in pulmonary critical care medicine. Prefer Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner experience. New graduates who have completed a Critical Care Fellowship considered. Strong interest in critical care. Experience with Epic EMR preferred. Role Responsibilities The APP will provide health‑care services to individuals, families, and/or groups in the hospital setting, independently and/or under the direction of an attending physician. Responsibilities include comprehensive health assessments, prescribing and providing treatments/interventions, making referrals, managing acute and stable chronic illnesses, promoting health, and providing disease prevention and management services. The APP will participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, engage in team activities, use resources appropriately, and adhere to the hospital’s bylaws, rules, and regulations. #J-18808-Ljbffr PALM Health
