Bakery Fryer

Description

Please note- this position starts at 3AM.

An employee in this position is responsible for preparing and frying donuts by following set recipes and department standards. This individual may also measure, mix, cut, roll, press, proof, bake, fry, fill and frost as necessary to provide customers with a variety of visually appealing, appetizing, high-quality baked goods

Requirements/Responsibilities

Creates baked goods following set department recipes and standards

Maintains adequate level of supplies in the bakery by replenishing ingredients and other items as needed

Provides friendly and prompt service to customers

Answers questions and assists with locating products by taking a customer directly to said products

Assists customers in placing special orders in person and by telephone

Ensures cleanliness of bakery aisles, storage areas, and work areas; includes but is not limited to: cleaning/organization of shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, removing hazardous debris from floor, sweeping/mopping

Maintains proper rotation of all bakery products and supplies

Receives and inspects deliveries to ensure proper inventory and accuracy

Requires operating and using equipment such as, but not limited to, fryers, mixers, knives, scales, slicers, rounders, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, carts, and labeling machines.

Maintains a positive work environment with fellow employees throughout the store

Maintains excellent communication with managers

Expected to be familiar with the entire store and its layout to ensure top customer service even if approached while not in the “home” department

Expected to assist other departments as needed

Expected to monitor cleanliness and safety throughout the entire store, not just the “home” department

Other related duties as assigned
