HR Generalist
Our client located in Bergen County is looking for a HR Generalist to join their team! The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing excellent customer service and provides professional support to the core focus areas of Human Resources, including, but not limited to the following: Company Culture; Learning & Development; Talent Acquisition & Talent Management; Compensation & Benefits and more. Responsibilities include:
- Reviews and recommends policy and procedure updates in compliance with federal and state employment regulations
- Conducts training needs assessments and contributes to development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of trainings programs
- Coordinates with vendors on sourcing or ongoing support of HR-related matters
- Coordinates the Worker's Compensation, Health, and Safety Processes
- Administers short- and long-term disability claims in compliance with federal and state law
- Responds to unemployment claims and participates in hearings as necessary
- Conducts New Hire onboarding and ensures a positive onboarding experience for new hires
- Participates in development of new ideas and practices in new hire onboarding
- Ability to serve as a trusted advisor dealing directly with our talents to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change
- Participating in and developing expertise in due diligence and integration activities
- Coach and counsel managers and employees on issues related to employee development, performance management, succession planning, HR policy and practice interpretation and other general HR issues
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HR experience
- Bachelor's degree required and HR Professional-Level Certification preferred (SHRM-CP or PHR)
