Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Manager

Job Location: Nashville, TNPosition:VDC ManagerREQ ID: 12118Barton Malow is seeking a Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Manager to join our team in Nashville, TN. In this role, you will lead VDC delivery across complex projects and pursuits — partnering with project teams, designers, and clients to drive constructability, optimize schedule and cost, and advance how technology-enabled construction gets done. This is the right opportunity for a construction technology leader who wants to mentor teams, shape processes, and make a measurable impact on projects that matter.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee VDC services across multiple projects and pursuits, managing quality, schedule, and budget accountabilityDevelop and maintain BIM Execution Plans tailored to each project's requirements, and mentor VDC Engineers through the processExecute core VDC workflows including 4D scheduling, 3D coordination, model-based quantity takeoff, reality capture, site logistics, and Digital Twin setupDevelop and deliver VDC training to project teams through formal sessions, webinars, and on-the-job coachingManage VDC-related communications with owners, subcontractors, architects, and engineers; ensure alignment with each project's RFI and change management processesSupport business development efforts including RFP responses, client presentations, and identifying opportunities for additional scopeQualifications8+ years of commercial construction experience with direct VDC responsibilitiesExpert proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and related construction technology platformsProven ability to develop and manage project-level BIM Execution Plans and VDC budgetsStrong leadership and communication skills, with experience mentoring team members and presenting to clientsExperience supporting business development and pursuit effortsWillingness to travel to project sites throughout the Nashville areaBarton Malow is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.
