The final compensation for the selected candidate will be influenced by various factors, including educational qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. Position Summary: Our organization is in search of a committed Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Float Pool at our New Brunswick campus. As the primary teaching hospital within our health system, this facility is one of only three Level 1 trauma centers in the state. Renowned for its exceptional clinical quality, we are dedicated to providing outstanding patient care. Our team is focused on ensuring safe, high-quality treatment for all individuals. Nurses in our float pool are essential, delivering exceptional care across diverse patient populations, including those in trauma, neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, and oncology. They exhibit expertise, adaptability, resilience, effective communication, and teamwork. To enhance our capabilities, we are expanding our float pool team to ensure our units are supported by skilled nurses. Qualifications: Mandatory: * Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma * A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Critical Care RN * Excellent communication and organizational abilities * Proficient in computer applications Preferred: * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or completion within 5 years of hire * 2-3 years of experience as a Critical Care RN * CCRN certification Required Certifications and Licenses: * Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey * BLS and ACLS certifications * NIHSS certification Scheduling Details: * Night Shift, 36 hours per week, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM * Monday to Friday, with some weekends and holiday rotations * Part-time availability Key Responsibilities: * The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring adherence to ethical practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics. * Ensures safety in practice, incorporating evidence-based principles while being aware of personal knowledge and experience levels, and takes responsibility for enhancing the knowledge of self and the patient care team through effective communication and resource utilization. * Responsible for reporting safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors. * Maintains knowledge of the patient demographics served. * Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members while collaborating with other healthcare providers. * Sets and evaluates priorities consistently through appropriate interventions aimed at measurable outcomes. * Acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and tailor the care plan to meet specific patient needs.
