Head of Tax

We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Head of Tax to oversee and manage all aspects of our client's global tax compliance, planning, and strategy. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to international tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and supporting our financial objectives. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $200,000 to $225,000 per year.

Job Description:

• Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  
  
• Oversee the preparation and review of all tax filings, including income, sales, and use tax returns.
  
  
• Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions.
  
  
• Collaborate with local and international tax advisors to ensure compliance and optimize tax positions globally.
  
  
• Work closely with the finance team, legal, and other business units to ensure alignment on tax strategies and compliance.
  
  
• Provide tax support and guidance for business initiatives and projects.
  
  
• Implement best practices and technology solutions for tax compliance and reporting.
  
  

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of international, federal, and state tax laws and regulations.
  
  
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  
  
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external advisors.
  
  
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop tax team members.
  
  

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, or related field.
  
  
• 10+ years of experience in tax compliance, planning, and strategy, with a focus on international tax.
  
  
• Experience with partnership and C Corp structures.
