About the Position

Job Title: Step Down RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Moderate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 18 months in specialty within the past 3 years License: GA or compact license required Certifications: CCRN preferred Must-Have: - Experience with arterial lines and pulmonary artery catheters - Ability to accommodate LVADs and administer 2-4 drips - Capability to monitor presurgical patients Description: This position is for a fast-paced unit with a high volume of patient turnover. You will be working with a wide variety of patient diagnoses. Patients will include low acuity critical care individuals awaiting placement in higher care facilities. Ventilators, continuous renal replacement therapy, and Impella devices will not be accepted. The unit will also serve as an observation area for patients requiring longer monitoring after same-day procedures. This role provides an excellent learning platform for diverse cardiovascular procedures and diagnoses. It will enhance your organizational skills, critical thinking, and assessment abilities. A rhythm identification test will be required upon starting the position, with two chances to pass.
