Graduate Recruiting and Admissions Counselor

We are now accepting applications for a qualified Graduate Recruiting and Admissions Counselor at Belmont University. Employment Type Staff Internal Job Category Exempt (Staff) Hours 37.5 Department College of Business Primary Duties and Responsibilities The Graduate Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator supports graduate enrollment goals for the Jack C. Massey College of Business for current graduate programs of study, including: Accelerated MBA, Healthcare MBA, Professional MBA, Master of Accountancy, and Master of Science in Applied Analytics as well as several dual-degree MBAs within and outside of Massey. This role coordinates recruitment activities, manages the admissions process, and serves as a primary point of contact for prospective students. This role guides applicants from inquiry through enrollment, ensures accurate and timely application review, and supports recruitment initiatives through outreach, events, and data tracking. The position works closely with faculty, academic leadership, and campus partners to maintain an efficient, student-centered admissions experience aligned with institutional priorities. Primary Responsibilities Coordinate graduate recruitment and outreach activities, including communications, events, partnerships, and follow-up efforts that support enrollment goals and applicant engagement. Manage and process graduate admissions applications for assigned programs, including application review, verification of materials, and coordination of admissions decisions in accordance with established policies and timelines. Serve as a primary advisor and point of contact for prospective students, responding to inquiries, guiding applicants through requirements and deadlines, and supporting enrollment decisions. Plan and support recruitment and yield events, including graduate information sessions, open houses, fairs, and virtual programming, which may include evening or weekend responsibilities. Maintain, update, and analyze recruitment and admissions data in CRM and student information systems to track applicant progress, monitor conversion metrics, and support reporting needs. Collaborate with faculty, program directors, and campus partners to align recruitment messaging, admissions criteria, and enrollment processes with academic and institutional goals. Must be able to develop a thorough understanding of the features and requirements of all graduate business degree programs at Belmont, including entrance requirements, graduation requirements, transfer credit acceptance policies and all other provisions of the university catalog pertinent to the programs. Understanding and compliance with FERPA privacy policies required. Knowledge of academic administrative principles and procedures. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), major social media platforms and internet navigation. Experience using CRM platforms like Ellucian Recruit. Must have strong written and oral communication skills; ability to create, compose and edit written materials. Able to work independently and self-manage; able to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments; and possess strong organizational and prioritizing ability. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Able to handle confidential financial and personal information. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Able to work collaboratively across campus with members of the various graduate programs. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Required Education Must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, Master's degree preferred. Required Experience Must possess a current valid driver’s license with good driving record. The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
