LHH is proactively seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused, and organized Benefits Administrator to support one of our clients on a contract basis in the Houston area. This role is responsible for administering employee benefits programs, supporting benefits enrollment activities, ensuring compliance with benefits regulations, and providing exceptional service to employees regarding benefits-related inquiries.

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00/hr (DOE)

Role Summary
As a Benefits Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting employee benefits programs and ensuring a seamless benefits experience. You will assist with benefits enrollment, eligibility verification, leave administration support, vendor coordination, and employee communications while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. This position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys helping employees navigate benefits programs and ensuring accuracy in benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration

• Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
• Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in a timely manner.
• Verify employee eligibility and ensure accurate benefits records.
• Support annual open enrollment activities and benefits education initiatives.

Employee Support

• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and concerns.
• Provide guidance regarding plan options, enrollment procedures, and benefits eligibility.
• Assist employees with claims issues and coordinate with benefits vendors as needed.
• Maintain a high level of customer service while handling sensitive and confidential information.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with applicable benefits regulations, company policies, and reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate benefits records and documentation.
• Assist with benefits audits and reconciliation activities.
• Support compliance efforts related to COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, and other applicable programs.

Vendor & Leave Administration Support

• Coordinate with benefits providers, brokers, and third-party administrators.
• Assist with leave of absence administration, including FMLA, short-term disability, and other leave programs.
• Monitor leave documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Escalate complex benefits issues to HR leadership when necessary.

Data Management & Reporting

• Enter and maintain employee benefits data within HRIS and benefits administration systems.
• Generate routine reports related to enrollment, participation, and benefits utilization.
• Audit data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Support HR and leadership with benefits-related reporting and analysis.

HR Operations Support

• Partner with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams to ensure accurate benefits processing.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities related to employee benefits.
• Support policy updates, process improvements, and special HR projects.
• Contribute to employee communication and engagement efforts related to benefits programs.

Qualifications
Education

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent benefits administration experience will be considered.

Experience

• 2-5+ years of benefits administration, HR administration, or human resources experience.
• Experience supporting employee benefits programs and enrollment processes.
• Knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, UKG, ADP, Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar platforms.
• Strong data entry, auditing, and reporting skills.
• Experience with benefits administration platforms preferred.
