Position Summary

As the Hiring Manager, you are responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and on boarding team members while ensuring alignment with Sonic’s standards. This role also requires a strong working knowledge of Sonic’s operational procedures , including preparation for our Annual Brand Audit and Operations Assessment (OPS) . You'll support the management team in maintaining staffing levels and compliance to help the location stay audit-ready year-round.

• Manage full-cycle hiring: sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and on boarding new crew members

• Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure proper staffing for all shifts

• Train new hires on Sonic standards, customer service, food safety, and cleanliness expectations

• Maintain awareness of Sonic’s Annual Audit and OPS Assessment requirements

• Support audit readiness by reinforcing team compliance with policies, procedures, and cleanliness standards

• Promote and model Sonic core values, safety practices, and store policies

• Maintain accurate hiring and training records, ensuring documentation meets Sonic’s audit standards

• Use hiring platforms and internal tools (e.g., Hireology, Indeed, applicant tracking systems) to manage candidates

• Foster a positive candidate and employee experience

• Prior hiring, HR, or management experience (restaurant or QSR experience is a plus)

• Working knowledge of Sonic brand standards , including audits and operational benchmarks

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

• Attention to detail and ability to coach team members on quality and compliance

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Ability to train others and hold team members accountable to Sonic expectations

• Familiarity with Sonic’s Annual Audit scorecards and grading criteria

• Experience preparing for OPS Assessments and supporting day-to-day operational readiness

• Knowledge of food safety protocols (ServSafe certification a plus)
