Site Superintendent ,

The Superintendent is responsible for leading all on-site field operations for healthcare projects throughout Central Illinois. This role requires deep experience working in active hospitals, medical campuses, and outpatient facilities, with a strong emphasis on safety, infection control, phasing, and coordination with clinical staff to ensure uninterrupted patient care. Key Responsibilities Field Leadership & Operations Lead day-to-day field operations on healthcare construction and renovation projects Plan and execute site logistics, phasing, and sequencing in occupied healthcare environments Supervise subcontractors, field staff, and trade partners to maintain productivity and quality Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites aligned with healthcare standards Healthcare-Focused Execution Enforce Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) requirements and interim life safety measures Coordinate construction activities around patient care, staff workflows, and sensitive clinical operations Implement dust, noise, vibration, and odor control measures Plan and manage shutdowns, tie-ins, and after-hours work in coordination with facility teams Safety, Quality & Compliance Champion jobsite safety and compliance with OSHA, hospital policies, and project-specific safety plans Lead daily huddles, safety meetings, and toolbox talks Ensure work meets contract documents, healthcare codes, and regulatory requirements Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and closeout activities Scheduling & Communication Develop and maintain detailed short-interval schedules Track daily progress and proactively adjust manpower and sequencing Serve as the primary on-site contact for facility managers, infection control teams, inspectors, and consultants Work closely with the Project Manager to identify risks and resolve field issues Qualifications 7+ years of superintendent experience, with a strong emphasis on healthcare construction Proven experience working in active hospitals, clinics, or medical campuses Strong knowledge of ICRA, interim life safety measures, and healthcare construction standards Ability to read and interpret construction documents and coordinate complex building systems Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills OSHA 30 certification required Ability to travel throughout Central Illinois as project needs require #J-18808-Ljbffr
