Top Utility Contractor PositionA TOP ENR Contractor with a 75+ year history servicing the Northeast!Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Manage multiple civil utility construction projects simultaneously from award through final completion.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and resource forecasts.Oversee project startup activities, subcontractor buyout, and material procurement.Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve project objectives.Coordinate project activities with superintendents, field engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, permits, and regulatory requirements.Financial Management:Develop and maintain project cost tracking and forecasting reports.Review and approve invoices, pay applications, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments.Manage project budgets, identify cost risks, and implement cost-control measures.Prepare monthly financial projections and progress reports for senior management.Negotiate and manage change orders, claims, and contract modifications.Client & Stakeholder Relations:Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, municipalities, and utility authorities.Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to clients and stakeholders.Maintain positive working relationships with inspectors, regulatory agencies, and utility representatives.Address project concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.Construction Operations Support:Collaborate closely with field leadership to develop construction sequencing and work plans.Review project drawings, specifications, and constructability considerations.Assist with coordination of utility shutdowns, tie-ins, testing, commissioning, and startup activities.Support field teams in resolving design conflicts, unforeseen conditions, and operational challenges.Safety & Quality:Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all company, OSHA, and site-specific requirements.Participate in safety planning and risk management activities.Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and owner expectations.Support quality control documentation and project closeout procedures.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
