What Youll Do
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments in accordance with established standards of practice.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and functional abilities.
- Provide physical therapy services across various inpatient settings.
- Initiate and complete evaluations and treatment plans at the patients first scheduled appointment.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Provide therapeutic exercise programs and patient/family education to promote independence and safe mobility.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including evaluations, treatment plans, daily progress notes, discharge summaries, exercise programs, and patient/family education within 24 hours of each visit.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to support the best possible outcomes.
Additional Job Description
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Licensure/Certification:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist by the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to providing patient care.
