Behavioral Health Clinician (Licensed) - Norcross Outpatient Center - Norcross, GA

Job Title: Licensed, Behavioral Health Clinician Job Code: HCP051/Social Worker, Licensed 2 Shift: Full‑Time (40 hours per week on average) Hours: 8:30‑5PM (times may vary) Base Location: Norcross, GA Division/Department/Program: Norcross Outpatient Center View Point Health proudly provides outpatient treatment to children, adolescents and adults. At the outpatient centers, we promote overall health and quality of life for individuals, youth and families through evidence‑based therapies and medication management to reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges and substance use. Under general supervision, performs psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments. Responsibilities Completes diagnostic formulations and biopsychosocial assessments on clients with mental illness and substance use disorders. Collaboratively formulates a treatment plan addressing issues identified in assessment. Provides short‑term individual and group therapy using evidence‑based practice therapies for clients with SPMI and/or SUD. Assists clients in identifying, developing, and sustaining appropriate natural support systems. Provides psychoeducation around mental health, substance use, trauma, recovery. Collaborates with other behavioral health and physical health providers to holistically address client needs. Completes all required documentation (daily clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans) in an accurate and timely manner (agency standard 24hrs). Participates in regular team meetings to collaborate regarding shared clients, build and practice new skills, and stay up to date on agency administrative information. Participates in clinical supervision to increase competence and professional development. Participates in on‑call rotation to provide after‑hour coverage via phone. Completes annual training requirements as outlined by agency and/or supervisor. Provides outpatient after‑hours call rotation coverage via phone and receives an additional supplement for weekly shifts. Performs other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND fully or associate licensure (LCSW/LPC/LMSW/LAPC) in the state of Georgia OR master’s degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND two years of experience at the lower level Social Worker, Licensed 2 (HCP051) or position equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Carelogic or other EHR/EMR. At least one year of clinical experience working in Community Mental Health Care with SPMI, SUD and/or co‑occurring disorders. Experience providing ASAM or substance use specific groups such as Dual Diagnosis, DBT, Seeking Safety. Previous experience conducting assessments or working with clients experiencing mental health emergency (1013s). Georgia license as LCSW or LPC. Comfortable and proficient with collaborative & concurrent documentation. Experience in trauma‑informed care, or trauma related interventions and skills. Spanish speaking, a big plus (but not required). Requirements / Competencies Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Requires long periods of sitting / standing. Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy. Must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting) and a pre‑employment drug screen and be subject to random drug screens. Other duties as assigned.
