Transportation Engineer

I'm currently working with a well-established, employee-owned engineering consultancy in Pennsylvania that is looking to add a Mid-Level Highway Engineer to its growing transportation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a PE-qualified Highway Engineer who enjoys leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and working on major PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike schemes. The Role You'll take a leading role in the delivery of highway design projects, providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle and working closely with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: Highway design and project delivery Production and review of plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) Final review and sealing of PennDOT packages Providing technical guidance and design oversight Mentoring and supporting junior engineers Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients Requirements To be considered, you should have: 4-8 years' highway engineering experience Strong experience delivering PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike projects BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university Professional Engineer (PE) licence in Pennsylvania Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A collaborative approach and strong technical capability What's on Offer The successful candidate will join an employee-owned business offering: Flexible working arrangements Hybrid / remote working options Competitive retirement and ownership programmes Generous paid time off Professional development and educational support Clear progression opportunities within a growing transportation team #J-18808-Ljbffr
