The Chief Radiologic Technologist oversees all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging, from strategic planning and budgeting to staffing and technology implementation. This role integrates clinical services with organizational goals while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include exercising independent judgment in personnel management, fostering a culture of professional growth, and optimizing departmental performance.

Salary Range: $6,959.64 - $10,041.00 monthly

The Chief Radiologic Technologist provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the efficient functioning of the diagnostic imaging department. By bridging clinical expertise with administrative direction, they manage staffing, budgeting, and the seamless integration of advanced technology. With a steadfast commitment to patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality control, the Chief Technologist fosters a culture of excellence, ensuring that imaging services align with organizational goals and provide the highest standard of care within the healthcare team.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required. Master's Degree: Preferred. Five years' diagnostic imaging experience: Preferred. Five years' leadership experience in a full service imaging department in an acute care medical center: Preferred.

Certificates/Licenses/Clearances: Live Scan and Health Screening are required. California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Certificate (California) Required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Radiography certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certificate from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. Radiologic technologist fluoroscopy permit Required. BCLS certificate from American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required. Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program graduate Required. Advanced credentials / certifications (Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Preferred.

Other Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Excellent technical skills in radiology, including proficiency in operating and troubleshooting a wide range of radiologic equipment. Strong leadership and supervisory abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a team to achieve departmental objectives. Solid understanding of radiation safety practices, including the ability to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Proficiency in maintaining accurate and detailed records, as well as strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations, ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate radiology services. Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices, with the ability to implement and monitor quality control programs. Proficiency in using radiology software and electronic medical record systems to manage patient information and radiology reports.
