AI/ML Developer

Role Description & Responsibilities DASSAULT SYSTEMES is seeking an AI / Machine Learning Engineer to join our R&D organization. This individual will contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of generative AI applications, services, and software solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with practical experience applying AI and machine learning technologies in production environments. Design, develop, and maintain Generative AI applications using LLM and machine learning technologies Collaborate with product management, architects, and engineering teams to deliver innovative AI solutions that address user and business needs Develop, deploy and integrate machine learning models, agentic AI workflows and Retrieval augmented generation systems Conduct prototypes and proof‑of‑concept initiatives to evaluate new technologies and approaches Develop high‑quality, maintainable code while participating in code reviews and continuous improvement efforts Analyze application performance, user feedback, and usage metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to software quality and operational excellence Qualifications B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field 4+ years of experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or software engineering, with at least 2 years focused on Generative AI solutions Strong proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit‑Learn Hands‑on experience developing applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) Experience implementing Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, semantic search, and vector databases Strong understanding of prompt engineering, prompt optimization, model evaluation, and AI agent design patterns Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent platforms Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals, deep learning architectures, NLP techniques, embeddings, fine‑tuning, and model optimization Experience building and deploying production‑quality software applications and services Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and debugging skills Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern software engineering practices Experience working in Agile software development environments Inclusion Statement In order to provide equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals, employment decisions at 3DS are based on merit, qualifications and abilities. 3DS is committed to a policy of non‑discrimination and equal opportunity for all employees and qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth or medical or common conditions related to pregnancy or childbirth), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, familial status, national origin, ancestry, age (40 and above), disability, veteran status, military service, application for military service, genetic information, receipt of free medical care, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law. 3DS will make reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with known disabilities, in accordance with applicable law. Compensation & Benefits Dassault Systemes offers an excellent salary with potential for bonus, commensurate with experience. Salary Pay Transparency: Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience.
