Retail Compliance Mystery Shopper: Northern Virginia Job Summary Earn $18.00 an hour plus $0.725 per mile for driving a local route and mystery shopping convenience stores. You'll be working on behalf of a retail compliance client, checking that stores follow state and store rules. Shifts are part-time, training is included, and you don't need any experience. On each route you'll visit stores as a regular customer, complete a short checklist, and give each location a Green Card (pass) or a Red Card (fail). Routes are based in Alexandria, Sterling, and Leesburg, Virginia. What you'll do Drive your assigned route and visit designated retail locations on a set schedule Shop anonymously as a regular customer without revealing your role Evaluate each store on criteria that may include customer service, employee greeting and engagement, cleanliness, product availability, pricing accuracy, signage, and the checkout experience Verify that store staff follow compliance requirements set by the state and the store Make purchases or inquiries as your assignment guidelines direct Complete the compliance checklist at every stop Give each location a Green Card (pass) or a Red Card (fail) based on the evaluation standards Write complete, objective, detailed reports for every visit and submit them on time How each assignment works Get your job file. Every assignment comes with a link. It holds the PO number, your route, and the instructions for each store. Sign off on the instructions. Sign a short acknowledgment confirming that you understand the instructions and agree to them. Complete Round One. Visit each store, complete the checklist, and issue a Green Card or a Red Card. Round One reports are due by the 6th of the month. Wait at least three days. Each store needs a gap of three days or more between Round One and Round Two. Complete Round Two. Visit each store again and repeat the evaluation. Round Two documents are due by the 12th of the month. Wrap up the month. Submit all reports by the 15th of every month. Pay and schedule Hourly pay: $18.00 per hour Guaranteed minimum: 4 hours paid per shift Mileage: $0.725 per mile reimbursed Route length: 45 to 60 miles Shift length: 4 to 7 hours (most routes average 4 to 5 hours) Locations: Alexandria, Sterling, and Leesburg, VA Employment type: Part-time, W-2 Training: Training is fully provided. You'll watch a few short online videos and answer a quick set of questions, and then you're ready for your first route.
