Sales Specialist, Emerging Business Solutions

Position Overview Autodesk Water is a leading innovator in software for the water industry, and we are looking for a driven, consultative SaaS seller to help us grow. As a Sales Specialist, Emerging Business Solutions on our Water Products Adoption team, you will own the pre‑sales motion that drives customer adoption of our Info360 Asset SaaS solution across North America. You'll prospect and qualify new opportunities, run compelling product demos and trials, and partner with account teams to expand penetration in our target markets—turning technical discovery and value‑based storytelling into measurable pipeline and growth. Responsibilities Expand penetration of Info360 Asset within water utilities and engineering service providers by understanding customer needs and demonstrating how Info360 Asset delivers value. Collaborate with other team members to provide technical expertise during the pre‑sales process, mapping product capabilities to customer needs, delivering product demonstrations, and highlighting benefits for customer water practices. Work with the Info360 customer success and adoption teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new customers based on the pre‑sales value proposition. Guide customers during Info360 trials or pilots, establishing goals, timelines, and periodic progress checks; provide technical support and help customers understand product usage. Collect, analyze, and communicate customer feedback and ideas to product and engineering teams to improve the product. Navigate and manage the customer’s procurement process, coordinating with legal, security, finance departments and Autodesk teams, facilitating contract negotiations, addressing security concerns, and handling discount or pricing requests. Work closely with internal teams to ensure all customer requirements are met and procurement obstacles are resolved. Seamlessly transition customers to the Customer Success teams when a subscription is purchased, ensuring that adoption teams have all necessary information. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling within existing accounts. Serve as the customer point‑of‑contact for support during the evaluation phase for Info360. Establish and execute a playbook for guiding new customers through the Info360 onboarding journey. Track key customer metrics and share them with management, including customer satisfaction, product usage, trial conversions, and other success indicators. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of professional pre‑sales experience with complex software technology, preferably within the water/wastewater space. Experience managing multiple complex cloud‑based software sales and consistently achieving annual goals. Strong ability to build deep customer relationships and manage assigned accounts to generate revenue and maintain high customer satisfaction. Bachelor’s Degree (preference for Engineering, IT, or Business). Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and experience that enable you to understand the full range of relevant principles, practices, and applications within your discipline. Ability to solve complex problems with new perspectives, applying best practices and data analysis to select the right course of action. Creative approach in recommending variations in strategy; works independently with guidance at critical points. Potential to mentor or support less experienced colleagues in the field. Salary and Benefits For U.S.-based sales roles, the starting On‑Target Earnings (OTE) range is $126,000 to $203,280, based on base salary plus commission target. Compensation may exceed this range and may include annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include health, financial, wellness, and time‑off options.
