Location: These are two in-person roles, one based in El Dorado Hills/Placerville and the other in the South Lake Tahoe area. You are expected to work on-site most weekdays, with evening and weekend availability required for voter contact, events, and campaign activities.

About the Campaign: Yes on S: Safe, Strong El Dorado is a countywide ballot measure campaign developed and supported by local firefighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses, and emergency preparedness experts fighting to preserve access to emergency rooms and quality healthcare, protect rapid 9-1-1 emergency response, and reduce wildfire risk.

Position Overview: Field Organizers will be the backbone of our campaign's grassroots program. Organizers will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers; running canvassing, phone banks, and community events; and facilitating voter engagement across their region. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who thrives in a goal-oriented, fast-paced environment and excels in time management. Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the flexibility to navigate all areas of El Dorado County are essential for this role.

Qualifications:

• 02+ years of experience with community organizing or issue advocacy on political campaigns or with nonprofits (field experience strongly preferred, but not required. Candidates with experience working in people-facing fast-paced environments are also welcome to apply).
• This is an in-person position. Candidates must be willing to relocate or make the daily commute to El Dorado County.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build relationships quickly.
• Willingness to engage with voters directly by knocking doors, making calls, and leading by example.
• Comfort with technology, including PDI, Mobilize, Google Suite, and basic data entry, preferred.
• Willingness to work long, irregular hours, evenings, and weekends, with hours adjusting on a ramping scale closer to the election.
• A passion for supporting first responders.
• Ties to El Dorado county and its environs are a plus.
