A Snapshot of Your Day Join Siemens Energy Generation Service Company (SEGSC) as the SEGSC’s TexasState licensed Master Electrician. In this role, you will manage and lead the SEGSCIBEW personnel in executing full turnkey high-voltage substation installation projectsfor SEGSC’s contract with Siemens Energy’s Grid Technology Division. In thisfield-based technical leadership role, you will provide expert electrical equipmentinstallation guidance and compliance oversight across multiple projects,traveling regularly to project sites. Collaborate closely with GridTechnology’s Project Managers, Site Managers, Site Superintendents, andCommissioning Engineers to ensure the safe and efficient execution ofelectrical work, from installation through commissioning. You will oversee SEGSCcrews installing all of the Substation Switchyard and interfacing equipment andattend site meetings to coordinate tasks effectively. How You’ll Make an Impact Serve as SEGSC’s electrical authority for turnkeysubstation projects, ensuring compliance with NEC, NESC, NFPA 70E, OSHA,and local AHJ requirements including compliance with all applicableprovisions of Texas Electrical Safety and Licensing Act; Texas OccupationsCode, Chapter 1305 and Chapter 51; Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 60;and the Electricians Administrative Rules, Texas Administrative Code,Chapter 73. Provide technical support to Grid Technology projectteams by reviewing electrical drawings and offering input onconstructability and installation methods for high-voltage substations. Support commissioning activities, includinginspections, punch lists, and turnover documentation. Contribute to the development and continuousimprovement of standard work practices, installation standards, and safetyprocedures. Promote Siemens Energy’s strong safety culture,ensuring all work is planned and executed safely. What You Bring Active Texas Master Electrician license or ability toobtain one. SEGSC will complete the Texas State BusinessElectrical Contractor License Application, and the successful candidate willsign Section 12 of the Application as the Master Electrician and theMaster of Record. Travel and project oversight/ advisory/ problemsolving responsibilities. You will be responsible for all of SEGSC’s IBEW electriciansbeing appropriately licensed and performing NEC code compliantinstallation. Minimum of 10 years of electrical experience,particularly in high-voltage substations and EPC substation constructionenvironments. Proven ability to support multiple projectssimultaneously in a technical advisory/leadership capacity, with awillingness to travel to site projects. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations,environmental compliance, and safety management on high-voltage sites. Ability to read and interpret complex electricaldrawings and specifications.
