Project Manager (PM) We are currently seeking a skilled Project Manager (PM) to lead the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center (VAMC). This crucial initiative aims to modernize healthcare infrastructure in alignment with the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) system. In this role, you will act as the on-site leader and primary point of contact to the VA COR, supervising all professional and technical services throughout the construction phase. Your oversight will ensure successful delivery by managing project schedule, budget, quality, risk, and stakeholder coordination. Salary The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $114,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the Project Management Plan, which includes communication, schedule management, quality assurance, and risk management plans. Monitor financial data using earned value management and review contractor pay applications against actual progress. Support change order analysis, cost estimate reviews, and modification documentation. Maintain and update Project Tracking Reports within the VHA Capital Assets database. Continuously analyze construction schedules, identify critical path activities, and recommend acceleration strategies as necessary. Document any schedule deviations and propose corrective actions to meet project milestones. Facilitate weekly or bi-weekly progress meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and track action items. Coordinate with VISN representatives, healthcare stakeholders, architect-engineers, commissioning agents, and construction contractors. Oversee testing and inspection services while supporting commissioning activities. Monitor RFIs, submittals, and change requests in an advisory capacity to the COR. Maintain and review as-built documentation and closeout requirements. Provide written reports, schedule reviews, cost analysis reports, and other necessary deliverables per contract timelines. Qualifications: Must have a degree in Architectural, Engineering, Construction Technology, or Construction Management (minimum of 4 years) with at least 3 years of relevant construction management experience. Project Management Professionals without a degree may fulfill education requirements with an additional 5 years of relevant project management experience and certification (PMP or FAC-PPM). Experience in budget development and funding strategies is essential. Proficient in scheduling and coordinating project interactions among both existing and newly occupied facilities. Ability to manage competing elements seamlessly for smooth project execution. Experience in quality management planning and implementation. OSHA 30 certification (or greater) obtained within the last 5 years is required. Relevant Project Experience: Experience in hospital Information Technology/Low Voltage Infrastructure construction or maintenance. Specific knowledge of Electronic Health Records Management Systems is preferred. Experience with healthcare infrastructure design and construction, including heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, emergency power, and special systems, is highly desirable. Experience in VA Hospitals is a plus. Familiarity with campus site infrastructure, including utilities and roadways, is preferred, especially in Florida. Experience with infection control during construction within active hospital settings. Experience with project phasing to maintain hospital operations during construction, minimizing disruptions for patients and staff. Knowledge of commissioning hospital infrastructure systems. Familiarity with engineering and construction codes and standards, including ASHRAE, NFPA, Florida Building Code, and NEC. Knowledge of VA Design Guides/Manuals and Specifications is preferred.
