Allure Counseling Center is actively seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team as a Remote Trauma Specialist. This role involves providing vital mental health care to individuals who have been impacted by trauma, with a focus on recovery and resilience-building.

Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, enabling our therapists to conduct sessions via telehealth. Our innovative approach allows you to create meaningful connections with clients from the comfort of your own workspace. While our core hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility may be required to accommodate client scheduling needs and ensure optimal therapy experiences.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history, identifying appropriate interventions to foster healing.

  • Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that specifically focus on trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.
  • \n
  • Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to promote healing and recovery.

  • Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions that help patients explore their trauma narratives, develop effective coping strategies, and enhance their overall well-being.
  • \n
  • Coordinating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and support for clients in crisis.
  • \n
  • Delivering crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate care and support.
  • \n
  • Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, available resources, and the coping mechanisms necessary for recovery.
  • \n
  • Maintaining precise and confidential documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with industry regulations and ethical standards.

  • Participating in regular team consultations, meetings, and professional development sessions that focus on trauma-informed care approaches.
  • \n
  • Staying informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance your clinical skills and efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The client population you will serve primarily consists of individuals coping with trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. Your efforts will focus on helping these clients navigate their experiences, understand their emotional reactions, and build resilience that promotes long-lasting recovery.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of post-licensure experience, with demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective treatment modalities, as well as:

  • Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that support recovery.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

  • The ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, ensuring client safety and care.

  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer proficiency.
  • \n
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
