Job Details:


• 12-hour variable day and night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• 9-week contract length
• Primary assignment on MS (Medical/Surgical) unit with potential to float to all inpatient units as needed
• Potential float locations include Stanley, Antigo, Wausau, and Merrill
• May be placed on low census call; call back minimum is 2 hours
• 36 hours of unbillable low census hours included in contract
• Patient ratio of 1:10 to 1:15 on MS unit
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and full set of vitals
• Perform POC blood glucose monitoring, Foley care, bladder scans, and removal of peripheral IVs
• Empty ostomy pouches, provide 1:1 sitter care, and operate all lift equipment
• Perform postmortem care, occupied bed changes, and care for behavioral health and withdrawal patients
• Proper donning and doffing of PPE, attach telemetry leads, and maintain strict intake and output monitoring for drains
• Provide ambulation assistance using drains, walkers, and gait belts; assist with chest tube patients
• Treat adults with conditions including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient STAC hospital experience required
• Wisconsin CNA license required
• AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• High school diploma, GED, or official transcripts required
• Must be able to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, collaborate with team and ancillary staff, and maintain a positive attitude with flexibility during shift changes
