Experienced Automotive Technician

Great Motors is looking for a highly skilled Automotive Technician with  at least 6 years of professional experience . We are searching for someone who can accurately diagnose and repair today's complex vehicles, including advanced electrical and drivability issues. We are a high-volume shop with an excellent reputation, and we take pride in fixing vehicles right the first time.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Diagnose engine, transmission, drivability, suspension, steering, brake, and HVAC concerns
• Perform engine and transmission replacements
• Accurately diagnose intermittent and complex vehicle problems
• Use scan tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and factory service information
• Complete repairs correctly the first time with minimal comebacks
• Test drive vehicles and verify repairs before delivery
• Communicate repair recommendations with management
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience as an automotive technician in a dealership or independent repair shop
• Expert-level diagnostic skills with the ability to accurately diagnose complex mechanical, drivability, electrical, and intermittent issues
• Strong knowledge of engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, HVAC, and electrical system repairs
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, service information, and technical repair manuals
• Experience performing engine and transmission replacements, major mechanical repairs, and advanced electrical diagnostics
• Proficient with scan tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, programming equipment, and modern diagnostic software
• Experience with wheel alignments, suspension repairs, ADAS calibrations, and advanced driver assistance systems is a plus
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialty automotive repair equipment
• Must provide your own professional tools
• Excellent communication skills with a commitment to quality workmanship and minimal comebacks
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• ASE Certifications are preferred but not required

• Monday through Friday
• Full-time
