Position Summary

The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting physician in delivering high-quality patient care. This role includes clinical and administrative duties, such as preparing patients for exam, taking vital signs, updating medical records, assisting with procedures, and ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and prepare patients for examination and treatment.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit.
• Assist provider with medical examination and set up for minor procedures.
• Prepare and send off laboratory specimens for testing.
• Maintain accurate and up to date patient records in the EMR system.
• Schedule appointments, handle patient check in and check out, answer phones.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked and ready to use.
• Comply with all OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge with EMR systems and basic computer applications
• Ability to multitask in a a fast paced medical environment.
• Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 25lbs
• 1-2 Years of experience in a related medical or healthcare field (Not Required But Preferred)
• Must be able to work Both Douglasville and Hiram Location.
