Location: Phoenix Metro Area / Valley-Wide Projects | Travel Opportunities Available
Pay: $24–$30/hr, depending on experience
Lead Pay: $31–$35+/hr, depending on leadership and technical experience
Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire Opportunities Available

We are hiring experienced  Data Center Low Voltage Technicians for commercial and mission-critical projects throughout the Phoenix Valley. Projects may be located across the East Valley, West Valley, and greater Phoenix area. While much of the work may be local, candidates must also be flexible and open to travel assignments when project needs require.

This is a hands-on role for technicians who can deliver clean, dependable structured cabling and low-voltage installations in high-standard data center environments. If you have proven field experience and want opportunities to grow into more advanced or lead-level work, we want to hear from you.

What you’ll do

• Install, pull, route, support, dress, label, terminate, and test low-voltage structured cabling in data center and commercial environments.
• Work with copper and fiber-optic cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, single-mode fiber, multimode fiber, patch panels, cabinets, racks, and cross-connects.
• Install cable support and conveyance systems, including cable tray, ladder rack, basket tray, J-hooks, sleeves, conduit, and related pathways.
• Support rack-and-stack work, patching, equipment-room organization, cable management, and infrastructure build-outs in data halls, MDFs, IDFs, and telecom rooms.
• Read and follow drawings, cable schedules, rack elevations, device layouts, installation specifications, and field direction.
• Perform cable testing, documentation, quality checks, and basic troubleshooting to ensure installations meet project standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area and follow all site security, safety, and quality-control requirements.

Data center low-voltage work often requires accurate copper and fiber installation, cable pathway work, labeling, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting in mission-critical environments.

Valuable additional skills

The following skills are not required for every opening, but they can qualify you for more advanced work and stronger pay opportunities:

• Fiber splicing: Preparing, fusion splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting fiber-optic cable installations.
• Fiber testing: OTDR, power meter, light source, OLTS, and inspection-scope experience.
• Access control: Installing and wiring card readers, electric strikes, mag locks, request-to-exit devices, door contacts, panels, controllers, and power supplies.
• CCTV/IP video: Installing, mounting, aiming, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting IP cameras, NVRs, VMS equipment, and related network hardware.
• Programming and commissioning: Experience programming or configuring access control, security camera, Wi-Fi, AV, or similar low-voltage systems.
• Lead experience: Running a crew, reading prints, coordinating daily field work, managing material, maintaining production, troubleshooting issues, and communicating with project management.

What we’re looking for

• Previous low-voltage, structured cabling, fiber, security, access control, CCTV, or data center experience is required.
• Hands-on experience pulling, routing, terminating, labeling, dressing, and testing copper and/or fiber cabling.
• Ability to read and follow plans, layouts, work orders, cable schedules, and installation documentation.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to job sites throughout the Phoenix Valley.
• Your own reliable vehicle is required.
• Willingness to travel when needed for project assignments;  per diem is available for eligible travel roles.
• Ability to safely work on ladders, lifts, and in active construction or operational data center environments.
• Professional communication, dependable attendance, strong attention to detail, and pride in clean workmanship.

Lead technician opportunities

We are also seeking experienced  Lead Low Voltage Technicians who can take ownership of daily installation activities, guide technicians in the field, coordinate with project leadership, manage quality and safety expectations, and help keep data center work on schedule. Lead technicians may support structured cabling, fiber, security, access control, and CCTV work depending on project scope. Lead roles in data center environments commonly include supervising technicians and supporting structured cabling and security-system installation work.
