Production Supervisor

At the Ideal Tridon Group, connections aren’t just what we make—they’re the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift for our Ocala, FL Plant. Responsibilities Direct all shift personnel, provide direction to work teams, maintain a safe work environment, and ensure personnel complete all required training. Achieve or exceed expected performance levels in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. Oversee materials handling, production planning and control, manufacturing, packaging, inventory control, and shipping. Manage equipment and plant maintenance. Foster a dynamic leadership culture aligned with the Company’s Core Values. Participate as part of the plant’s senior management team, contributing to strategic direction, annual budget process (including capital investments), and operational goals. Supervise packaging, assembly, DC, and component manufacturing teams assembling and packaging stainless/carbon steel worm gear clamps in high volumes. Ensure production schedules are met daily while maintaining safety, environmental, quality, and cost objectives. Lead and direct employee selection, hiring, and development; conduct performance reviews and create development plans. Manage training of personnel, including sponsor certifications and hands-on training; serve as a mentor. Ensure compliance with the Quality System and Environmental Management System. Direct work teams to meet published schedules and participate in decisions regarding hiring, promotion, discipline, and discharge. Maintain a consistently safe work environment and demonstrate commitment to safety and compliance. Hold employees accountable for safety, environmental, quality, and quantity standards; maintain an inspection-ready workplace at all times. Ensure team members receive sufficient training to perform roles safely and productively. Interpret MRP reports to plan, organize, and schedule daily high-volume production requirements for clamp manufacturing and packaging needs. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly; coordinate high-volume work orders and foster collaboration with support functions. Lead or participate in continuous improvement activities, including lean manufacturing tools and automated inspection requirements. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve operating efficiencies, reduce costs, and address downtime, safety, and quality concerns. Make timely corrections or plans with support functions to address issues. Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System. Understand the process for containing nonconforming product and completing a RID. Complete the Training Instruction Checklist for this position. When necessary, perform other typical duties. Qualifications And Experience A relevant business or engineering degree is preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment including supervising hourly associates. Understanding of ERP systems, including bill of materials, work order management, and inventory control. Strong computer skills. Proven track record of improving overall efficiencies, reducing cost, and leading teams to effect positive change within the organization. Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous. Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel).
