RN - PCU

IMC RN - Night 3x12-Hour Shift

This is a 13-week contract position with a shift schedule of 7 PM to 7 AM, three nights a week.

We are seeking an experienced RN to provide care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC), while also being capable of floating between Orthopedic and Rehabilitation departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing a variety of patient diagnoses, including but not limited to hip fractures, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, and bowel obstructions.

Responsibilities:

• Float between IMC, Ortho, and Rehab departments as needed.
• Provide nursing care to a patient caseload of approximately 5 patients per shift.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and health status.
• Assist with patient mobility and rehabilitation exercises.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social workers to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
• Must be willing to care for COVID-19 patients if required.
• Must be able to float as necessary between units.
