Clinical Dietitian – Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus We are searching for a Clinical Dietitian who works well in a fast‑paced setting. In this position, you will assess the nutritional needs of patients, develop and implement nutritional care plans, and communicate information to those in need in a manner that is developmentally appropriate for the ages of the patients served. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred. Certified Registered Dietitian (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Licensed Dietitian (LD) from the Texas Department of Licensing. Pediatric nutrition experience preferred. Responsibilities Develop, implement and evaluate patient nutritional care plans. Provide age‑appropriate education to support the nutritional plan of care and assess learning needs and readiness of all patients and families. Collaborate with other professionals to integrate and communicate nutrition principles that enhance patient outcomes. Participate in and interpret research to enhance clinical practices. Document nutrition care effectively within medical records and utilize SBAR techniques to facilitate handoffs to different levels of care or providers. Contribute to departmental development and visibility by actively participating in review and revision of nutrition‑related resources, policies and procedures. Located at I‑10 and Barker Cypress, our 515,007‑square‑foot hospital houses the only 24/7 pediatric emergency room in the Greater West Houston area, four operating rooms, a 16‑bed pediatric intensive care unit, 46 acute care beds, advanced imaging services including MRI and CT scans, a neurophysiology sleep lab, a pathology lab and a full‑scale pharmacy.
