  • Engage in special treatment procedures such as total body irradiation (TBI) and intra-operative radiation therapy (IORT).
  • Assist with quality assurance tasks as directed by a qualified medical physicist.
  • Conduct patient-specific radiation measurements using various dosimetry tools.
  • Support high dose rate (HDR) and low dose rate (LDR) brachytherapy procedures, including patient setup and treatment planning.

  • Ensure accurate transfer of patient and treatment plan information to clinical systems.
  • Maintain a commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and safety in all tasks.
  • Create clinically optimal treatment plans using knowledge of anatomy, radiation biology, safety protocols, and technology.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Completion of a Medical Dosimetry educational program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Board certification from the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) is required.
  • Board-eligible candidates must achieve certification within two attempts during the first two years of employment.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances
  • Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) or board eligibility is required.
  • Must maintain continuing education credits to uphold certification.
  • CPR certification is required based on AHA standards, including both theoretical and practical components within 30 days of hire.
