An Athletics Program Assistant job is available with The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department-Youth Athletics at the Sycamore Community Center. The Park & Recreation Department maintains more than 200 parks and public spaces citywide, as well as providing recreational activities and educational programming that makes Fort Worth a great place to live, work and play.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMust be age 18 or older (17 if a high school graduate)Preferred QualificationsBilingual candidate in English/SpanishExperience with playing or coaching organized sports, with at least one sport being Soccer, Basketball and/or FootballThe Athletics Program Assistant Job Responsibilities Include:Assist with coordinating and conducting youth sports and recreational programmingKeep score and maintain records of gamesSet up and clean up after games are completedDistribute and collect all equipment used during gamesEnsure games are kept on scheduleProvide assistance to the Youth Sports ProgrammersKeep abreast of sports rules and regulations for City-established youth leaguesWorking Conditions and Physical Demand: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
