Core Responsibilities Join the Maine CDC Breast and Cervical Health Program (MBCHP) and play a vital role in ensuring underserved individuals have access to life-saving cancer screening and diagnostic services. As a Medical Care Coordinator, you will be at the center of a mission-driven team working to reduce health disparities and improve early detection outcomes statewide. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated by meaningful public health work. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with healthcare providers, support patient care coordination, and contribute to a program that directly impacts lives. Manage and maintain accurate clinical records, ensuring timely collection and entry of screening and diagnostic data Review and validate clinical information to ensure compliance with program guidelines and coverage criteria Analyze claims and clinical data reports to support program operations Process medical claims and resolve billing issues for clients, providers, and internal staff Partner with patient navigators to communicate abnormal screening results, supporting timely follow-up care Monitor provider compliance with data reporting Serve as a subject matter resource for providers by delivering guidance on MBCHP billing processes Use independent judgment to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and ensure high-quality, accurate work Minimum Qualifications A four (4) year combination of education and experience in medical eligibility programs and/or experience which demonstrates interviewing and data gathering skills as needed to form basis for judgments in eligibility determinations, claims resolutions, and payment authorization.
