Overview of the Role We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Hyperforce Runtime Platform – Test Infrastructure Automation and Management team! This person will plan and direct activities to build, support & grow Test Infrastructure Automation Services for GCP, and enhance developer productivity through AI. You will drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many multi-functional teams, architects, product owners and engineers. Make critical decisions that contribute to the success of the product and be proactive in foreseeing issues and resolving them before they happen. Responsibilities Empower the delivery team to self-prioritize. Be a multiplier and have a passion for team and team members’ success. Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members. Maintain high morale and motivate the delivery team to go above and beyond. Vocally advocate for technical excellence and help the teams make good decisions. Participate in architecture discussions and planning. Maintain and encourage company culture by interviewing and hiring only the most qualified individuals. Occasionally chip in on development tasks such as coding and feature verifications to assist teams with release commitments, to gain an understanding of the deeply technical product, and to keep technical competence sharp. Required Qualifications 10+ years of industry experience, with 3+ years in a people leadership role of Test Automation teams. Expertise with Infrastructure Management services in the Kubernetes ecosystem, hands‑on knowledge of Service Mesh architecture and Networking fundamentals are desired. Working knowledge of Release Management concepts and cloud‑based CI/CD tools such as Spinnaker and GitLab. Proven ability to manage stakeholders and relationships within a highly matrixed organizational structure. Proficiency in software development methodologies, technologies, and tools, with proven success in leading and delivering large‑scale initiatives in collaboration with cross‑functional teams. Strong experience with public cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure. Strong knowledge of infrastructure and automation. Experience working in a complex team environment, with the ability to deliver under pressure and dependency constraints. Experience with Scrum or other agile development methodologies, with a strong focus on code quality and delivering secure code. Preferred Qualifications Good programming background, ideally with experience in Python and AI automation tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and time management abilities. Proven ability to navigate team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and facilitate career development discussions. Minimum Education Requirements Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related field of study, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in related field OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related field of study, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or in any occupation in related field. A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)). Salary The typical base salary range for this position is $172,500 - $260,100 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $207,800 - $285,800 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
