Advanced Emerging Tech Engineer - Principal

Lead technical sprint execution for assigned innovation programs, ensuring clear direction, accountability, and timely delivery of sprint objectives. Provide day-to-day technical leadership to team members who report through dotted-line relationships, aligning priorities, deliverables, and technical direction. Drive execution of innovation projects across assigned technical focus areas. Coordinate closely with Innovation Core Functions to ensure the right technical capabilities and resources are aligned to each sprint or project effort. Translate innovation priorities into actionable technical workplans, sprint goals, and execution milestones. Support technical problem solving, design decisions, prototyping, testing, and validation activities needed to advance innovation programs. Maintain strong communication with project managers, engineering leaders, and stakeholders to support alignment, issue resolution, and execution speed. Identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints early and accelerate or resolve them as needed to keep sprint execution on track. Contribute to continuous improvement of Innovation Execution processes, tools, and team operating methods. Serve as a technical subject matter expert in one or more assigned innovation domains. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or a related technical field. Several years of technical experience in product development, systems engineering, applied R&D, or innovation execution. Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and coordinate work across direct and dotted-line team structures. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Experience leading technical workstreams, sprints, prototypes, or cross-functional project efforts. Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence across levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment. Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team-oriented, highly technical organization.
