Staff Accountant

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant supports financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role works with finance and operational leaders to improve reporting, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights that support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations as part of the monthly and annual close.
• Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Prepare financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance and trend analyses.
• Assist with annual budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze financial and operational data, including manufacturing costs and overhead rates where applicable.
• Identify performance trends and recommend improvements.
• Partner with the finance team and business leaders on reporting and special projects, including return on investment analysis.
• Support financial system implementations and process improvements.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least two years of related experience.
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
