Senior Staff Accountant

Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: 4 days in office, 1 day remote) Our client, a growing global organization, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their corporate accounting team. This is a highly visible role that combines payroll administration, corporate accounting, financial reporting, and equity compensation administration. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking for a role with broad exposure across multiple business functions. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities and locations Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Reconcile payroll-related accounts and support month-end close activities Partner with HR on compensation changes, benefits, and employee transactions Administer equity compensation programs, including stock options and RSUs Maintain stock administration records and support related compliance reporting Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Manage general ledger activities and intercompany transactions Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives Assist with internal and external audits Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5+ years of accounting experience 3+ years of payroll processing experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations Exposure to equity compensation or stock administration is a plus CPA or active pursuit of CPA preferred Experience with ERP systems required Business Central experience highly preferred Advanced Excel skills What We're Looking For Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Ability to adapt in a dynamic, evolving environment Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments Hands-on professional who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and contribute wherever needed If you're interested in learning more about this opportunity, feel free to reach out directly. #AccountingJobs #SeniorAccountant #CharlotteNC #FinanceJobs #AccountingCareers #CPA #Payroll #Hiring #AccountingProfessionals #CharlotteJobs #J-18808-Ljbffr
