CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Aide/Orderly (CNA), you will be a vital and compassionate caregiver, directly empowering residents/patients to live fulfilling, high-quality lives through dedicated support and essential daily care. You will be instrumental in creating a supportive and engaging environment, ensuring comfort, safety, and a sense of independence for those under our care. Every day you will meticulously assist residents/patients with all activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility, while vigilantly observing for changes in their condition and promptly communicating concerns to the nursing staff. You will also contribute to their engagement by assisting with social and recreational activities, support their comfort by ensuring a clean and organized personal space, and diligently obtain and record vital signs and essential care provided, always adhering to established safety protocols. To be successful in this role, you must leverage your proven experience in ADL support, compassionate approach, and strong commitment to fostering independence and dignity for every individual. You will collaborate seamlessly with nurses and other care team members, acting as a crucial component of our interdisciplinary approach to personalized care.Communicates, records, and reports promptly to the licensed nursing personnel vitals, treatment results, changes in patients condition, observations, patient complaints, and other pertinent information regarding the patient.Checks and repositions all immobile and incontinent residents at a minimum of every two hours providing needed incontinent care promptly as required by assigned unit.Promptly answers call lights and responds to alarms and patients requests.Follow-up on patient care responsibilities and assignments left from previous shift and reports to team leader any incomplete assignments to ensure continuity of care.Performs direct patient care activities for specific patient population according to established policies and procedures; adapts techniques to unique needs of each patient.Accurately places electrodes and activates telemetry monitoring, as assigned. Respond to request for telemetry/lead troubleshooting whether that of assigned patient or not.Job RequirementsRequiredSuccessful completion of a California State approved Nursing Assistant programMinimum of three(3) months experience performing ADL's(Activities of Daily Living) in a healthcare facility, including but not limited to home health, hospice, SNF, Rehab and acute careCertified Nursing Assistant: CAAHA Basic Life Support - CPRPreferredExperience as a Certified Nurse Assistant(CNA) at an accredited acute care hospital or health care facilityWhere You'll WorkFounded in 1910, Dignity Health - Community Hospital of San Bernardino is a 343-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital.
