Lead Young Life Team Leader - Local Impact & Growth

Responsibilities Lead and participate in effective Young Life ministry, incorporating the following core functions: Spiritual Development: facilitate prayer, fellowship, growth, and healthy church relationships; develop a yearly personal growth plan that includes solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer, and study of God’s Word. Leadership Development: recruit, train, and care for volunteer leaders; model excellence in contact work, clubs, Campaigners, and camps; assist in training leaders, team leaders, and committees to work effectively in teams and develop a yearly ministry strategy. Resource Development: raise financial support, maintain donor care, and communicate ministry updates and progress to personal donor partners. Network and develop strategic relationships with key adults in the community (principals, pastors, parents, potential committee members). Direct Ministry: proactively engage in contact work, clubs, Campaigners, and camps; lead a team to plan and conduct new or existing Young Life clubs and Campaigners/discipleship ministries with excellence; plan and implement a summer and school-season camping strategy; serve on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp each year. Ministry Support: manage accounting, administration, internal communication, data management, and strategic planning; adhere to all Young Life policies and procedures; maintain accurate records of kids, leaders, and donors; provide clear, prompt, and professional communication to all involved in ministry. Lead teams, connect with students and community members, and continue the ministry currently happening in the area. Live locally in Hamilton County. Qualifications Proven relational skills with both kids and adults. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord and subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith. Training Mission‑wide training is not required. RTD training events (New Staff Training, Winter Training, Focus Conferences, and Young Life University) are available on request and upon approval of the regional director. Regional training may be required at the regional director’s discretion. Area training involves active engagement in training provided by area leadership and individualized training supervised by the area director. Education College degree preferred. Working Conditions Lead teams and connect with students & others in the community. Must reside locally in Hamilton County.
