Warehouse Operations Internship (Mandarin Speaking) (JD Young Program)

Position: Warehouse Operations Internship (JD Young program) Contract Type: Intern Fixed-term trainee Contract Time: Full time (40 hour/week) Salary: $20/hr Location: Piscataway, NJ About the Role The Warehouse Operations Intern supports daily warehouse operations and works closely with Team Leaders and Operations Managers to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and service level goals are met. This developmentally focused role prepares interns for future positions such as Team Leader, Supervisor, or Operations Analyst. Responsibilities Operations Support Assist with daily inbound, outbound, picking, packing, and shipping operations Monitor workflow and help balance labor across work areas Track productivity, accuracy, and SLA performance Escalate operational issues (labor gaps, system issues, delays) to Team Leaders or Managers Safety & Compliance Promote a safe work environment and ensure SOPs are followed Report safety concerns, near misses, and incidents promptly Support warehouse audits and compliance checks Process & Continuous Improvement Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements Assist with basic data tracking (volume, productivity, error rates) Participate in process improvement projects and pilot initiatives Help communicate daily goals, priorities, and process changes to associates Assist with onboarding and training of new warehouse associates Act as a point of contact for associates when Team Leaders are unavailable Team Leadership (Intern Level) Support Team Leaders in coaching associates on standard work and safety practices Qualifications Native Chinese speakers preferred. Graduating in 2025 or 2026; currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related field. Strong analytical skills and proficient in Excel. Clear logical thinking, strong sense of responsibility, and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong interest in supply chain and e-commerce industries, with a willingness to grow in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
