Production Supervisor

Production SupervisorResponsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of workers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the manufacturing or production process. This position plays a key role in achieving production targets, maintaining product quality, and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.Directly supervise production staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.Monitor and oversee all production activities, ensuring that production goals are met.Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications through regular quality checks and inspections.Promote and enforce safety protocols, including the use of protective equipment, to maintain a safe work environment.Manage inventory levels and ensure materials are available to meet production demands.Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains and implement appropriate changes.Prepare production reports, including production efficiency, quality, and any issues or deviations.Address production issues and challenges as they arise, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, engineering, and quality control to ensure smooth production processes.Monitor and control production costs to optimize resource utilization.3-5 Years experience in a supervisory role managing people in a production environment.Steel fabrication experience preferred.Knowledge of ERP systems.Ability to stand for long periods of time.Ability to occasionally pull, push, carry, or lift tools, equipment, or materials 50 lbs. or less.Ability to withstand occasional bending, squatting, or crouching.Ability to frequently handle (hold, seize, grasp, turn, etc.) tools, equipment, or material.Ability to work in inclement weather conditions, including cold, heat, and humidity.The job duties and requirements that this document describes may be altered or supplemented at any time at the sole discretion of the employer.This document does not create an employment contract, either express or implied.
