Library Assistant Position

The Penn State Hazleton campus library is seeking applicants for a part-time Library Assistant. This is a student position for the 2026-2027 academic year.

A successful candidate must be willing to work evenings (4:00pm - 8:00pm) and/or weekend shifts (as needed); weekday shifts are also available. Job responsibilities include: providing service at the front desk, processing library materials, performing shelf maintenance, conducting administrative tasks, and working on various special projects, as assigned. Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
