Position Physical Therapist (PT) – First Shift, Rehabilitation Services Department (West Chester Hospital, UC Health). Location West Chester, OH, United States Unit Details 15 years serving the West Chester and Butler County community. 216 licensed beds. Level III trauma center. Qualifications Degree in Physical Therapy from an approved APTA School. License to practice Physical Therapy or licensure eligibility in the applicable state. CPR Certification. Recently certified, licensed, or graduated within past 12 months. Preferred: 1–2 years equivalent experience; Adult: one year of experience preferred; new graduates considered; NICU: 3 years NICU/Acute care experience. Customer service and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Engage in population-appropriate communication and provide clear instructions regarding treatment. Involve family or guardians in assessment, initial treatment, and ongoing care. Identify physical limitations and deploy appropriate interventions. Recognize and respond to behavioral health problems, abuse or neglect. Select appropriate therapeutic assessment tools, complete functional comprehensive individualized assessments, and develop individualized treatment programs consistent with diagnosis, status, and goals. Establish realistic, measurable goals in relation to patient, caregiver, and lifestyle. Complete evaluations and documentation according to departmental policy. Assess need for equipment and follow-up when indicated. Implement treatment plan in collaboration with the treatment team, reassess objective findings including pain, and adapt program when needed. Provide patient and family education on evaluation results, treatment plans, proper body mechanics, and home exercises. Adhere to department safety standards and timely documentation. Participate in department performance improvement programs, committees, educational in-services, and mentoring of students or associates. Accept at least one student per year, supervise support staff, and maintain a safe and clean environment. Meet productivity standards and adhere to UC Health initiatives.
