What You Will Do Work from applicable written inspection procedures, drawings and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment; accept material or refer for rework or quality review based on findings; use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments, including automated measuring machines where program instructions are well defined, to check dimensions and record results; perform necessary problem solving to determine extent of nonconformance and complete documentation; and follow proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verification of dimensions to ensure process steps are followed. Perform Solumina required job audits for Op Cert surveillance and perform OpCert over-inspections, as required. Maintain current knowledge of and comply with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned; detailed inspection certification required at the conclusion of training. Train other operators to perform work tasks and provide technical support; maintain a strong working relationship with the operations team; demonstrate and maintain effective leadership skills. Exhibit consistent skill and positive attitude toward work while demonstrating the highest degree of quality and productivity; ergonomics: bending, reaching, pulling, pushing. What You Will Learn Inspect blades and vanes on the production line and perform over-inspections for operators; ability to work overtime as needed. Obtain and maintain an inspection stamp or acquire a newly required stamp. Perform basic inspection functions, including reading blueprints, using hand gauges, and understanding technical standards. Conduct final inspections, write Quality Notifications, and perform over-inspections for operations. Training on advanced layout inspection skills; perform routine operations.
